Thank you for your interest in working for InStride!
Our practice is modeled in such a way that our medical assistants are intimately involved in nearly every aspect of patient care. Previous experience in the medical field (direct patient care) and/or with medical/anatomical terminology is often helpful, but is not required. We routinely train on the job.
You will be trained in diagnostic imaging (x-rays, ultrasounds, etc.) and in our protocols for treating a variety of foot and ankle problems under the direction of the doctors on staff. Responsibilities include trimming toenails, giving injections, taking skin biopsies, cleansing and bandaging open wounds, and assisting with in-office surgical procedures.
You will also be responsible for the documentation of all the services rendered in the clinic, so strong computer and typing skills are a necessity. Applicants must also demonstrate competence in writing, spelling, and math during the interview process.
In this position, you will have the chance to serve your patients in a very tangible way. Sometimes, patients enter the clinic in pain and leave less than an hour later having found some form of relief. This makes for a rewarding work experience.
Additionally, our clinic is constantly evolving to stay up to date with the best treatments for our patients, so the position provides countless opportunities for personal and professional growth. You can expect to gain new skills and knowledge on a daily basis. Working as a part of this team is a satisfying opportunity for those who meet their day with optimism and determination.
