Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optical Lab Technician to join our team. The primary responsibilities of this role include edging, blocking, and mounting eyewear to ensure precise and high-quality finished products. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edge, block, and mount eyewear lenses according to prescriptions and specifications.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment, ensuring it is clean and in good working order.
• Inspect finished lenses for accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments.
• Keep detailed records of work performed and maintain organized workflow.
• Follow all safety and operational protocols within the lab.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of orders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with lab equipment or processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an Optical Lab Technician/Optician or in a similar role is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating optical lab equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work either 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM shift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
