Institute of Nuclear Power Operations / INPO is Hiring a Program Manager, Employee Development Near Atlanta, GA

Summary of Purpose

Leads and coordinates the development, management and improvement of multiple programs, processes and procedures important to the mission and strategy of the organization. Develops high-quality work products, completes assigned tasks, and communicates cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders. Develops a deep knowledge of programs and processes related to their assigned specialty area.

Essential Functions

  • Deliver and continuously improve on leadership development activities and programs, such as knowledge transfer and assessment tool administration and debrief
  • Facilitate in a variety of settings, from certified vendor trainings to custom courses or informal formats such as lunch and learns
  • Work with subject-matter experts, exemplars and other stakeholders to perform detailed training analysis that clarifies learning objectives in areas of responsibility or for specific employees and/or groups, primarily within leadership roles
  • Maintain up-to-date training materials and develop new resources in various delivery methods such as videos, instructor-led trainings (both in-person and virtual), and simulations
  • Using feedback and data from stakeholders and evaluations, identify improvement opportunities and make data-driven decisions on program enhancements
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders inside and outside the team, including senior leadership, line leadership, and Human Resources to develop solutions and incorporate feedback into leadership development programs
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Mentor and coach others in training development
  • Analyze data, identify performance gaps, and devise training and non-training solutions to most effectively address those gaps
  • Ability to design and develop training in various delivery methods such as on-demand, classroom and simulation
  • Develop performance-support tools such as job aids and short videos
  • Design and develop effectiveness evaluations for training
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish all phases of the systematic approach to training
  • Ability to procure and contract external resources

Education, Licenses, and Certifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or certification in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology or related field
  • Facilitator/instructor certification (or has the aptitude to complete certification in a timely manner)

Experience

Required

  • Six or more years of professional work experience
  • Four or more years of relevant experience, three years of which using all aspects of ADDIE process to create and deliver training

Preferred

  • Five or more years’ experience in developing and delivering job skills/task training
  • Expert presentation and facilitation skills
  • Two or more years’ experience in developing and delivering leadership training
  • One or more years’ management or supervisory experience
  • One or more years’ experience in a talent development environment with an organization recognized for its talent development
  • One or more years’ experience leading training teams
  • Nuclear industry experience

Additional Requirements

Work Context

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Works under minimal supervision
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and crawl in small spaces
  • Must be able to use hands, arms, ears, and eyes to touch, carry, hear, see
  • Must be able to climb multiple flights of stairs, climb ladders, traverse scaffolding
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
