The Institute for Intergovernmental Research (IIR) is a Florida-based, nonprofit corporation specializing in criminal justice (law enforcement focus) and homeland security issues. In addition to several other national justice programs and projects, IIR's Law Enforcement Safety and Wellness group manages national-level officer safety and wellness programs that support state, local, tribal, and territorial law enforcement, their agencies, and families in their efforts to strengthen their strategies, techniques, and behaviors to ensure that officers and agencies are healthy and able to answer the public safety needs in their communities. Current programs include the VALOR Officer Safety and Wellness Training and Technical Assistance Program, the National Suicide Awareness for Law Enforcement Officers Program, the Center for Corrections Officer and Staff Safety and Wellness, and as a partner with the National Policing Institute on the National Law Enforcement Roadway Safety Program. Position Description
The training coordinator for the Law Enforcement Safety and Wellness group is responsible for providing logistical support for the development and delivery of law enforcement training, technical assistance, and educational products.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position has the flexibility to work remotely; however, there are job responsibilities preparing shipments of materials from IIR headquarters in Tallahassee, Florida, requiring the lifting and transporting (with or without reasonable accommodation) of shipment boxes typically weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. Occasional visits to the warehouse may be required. This position may require occasional travel.
