This position will develop, plan and implement an educational program for residents in Linden House that meets their individual needs, interests and abilities as well as increasing self-motivation, independence, self-esteem and productivity. These tasks focus on supporting, instructing, and assisting residents to develop the skills needed to attain their educational goals. In addition, this position will advocate for the Linden House residents and support their families or other caregivers in their efforts to assist these individuals educationally.
ESSENTIAL TASKS:

RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS:
This position interacts with the residents and their families or caregivers, Counselors, Case managers, the Recreational/Educational/Vocational Specialist, and the school systems. They will report to the Program Director and/or Associate Program Director, as designated.
MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree plus a minimum of two years experience tutoring and/or teaching experience. Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one year experience. Preference will be given to applicants with tutoring/teaching experience with children/adolescents.
