Title: Sr. Data Engineer
Location: Orlando, FL - Hybrid schedule: 4 days on-site - 1 day remote
Duration: 6 months to start, extensions beyond 6 months are likely
Compensation: 70-80/hour 
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Description/Comment:
• JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for a Sr. Data Engineer who who applies practical knowledge of development and engineering to conceive, design, develop, test, and implement data extracts, transformation, migration, and uploads. This will be done using modern software development paradigms (e.g., agile, product, cloud). The right candidate must have experience with food & beverage supply chain technology, with deep skills in SQL development in Windows and RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) environments. The ideal candidate will also have report/dashboarding development experience using MicroStrategy Cloud Environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Is responsible for creating data mappings, extracts, transformations, data migration, and uploads.
2. Configures supply chain technology for business use.
3. Owns SQL and script programming, testing, and debugging of applications after data loads.
4. Gathers reporting requirements, designs reports, and develops reports for business use.
5. Creates stories in JIRA backlogs and participates in agile ceremonies.
6. Reviews and writes code that meets set quality gates.
7. Creates/updates documentation for reproducible data loading and configuration.
8. Interacts and coordinates work with other technical and testing groups in the organization.
9. Coordinates team members in finding root-cause of problems and issue resolution.
10. Recommends improvements to processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of the team.
