Who You Are: A motivated, compassionate caregiver/certified med-tech with experience in a memory care/dementia community. A valid CPR/First Aid is preferred. Initial 6-hour med-tech licensure is required. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Summary/Objective

Med Techs provide routine care in a manner conducive to the comfort and safety of residents in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and within the established policies and procedures of the Community. S(he) is delegated the responsibility in carrying out the assigned duties by the Health & Wellness Director, Executive Director, or other assigned supervisory personnel to assure that the highest degree of quality compassionate resident care is maintained at all times.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The noise level is moderate to quiet. Because the essential functions may require exposure to bodily functions and infectious waste, diseases, odors and other situations associated with health care, including but not limited to exposure to AIDS, HIV and Hepatitis B viruses involving Risk Classification Categories 2 and 3**, environmental and safety conditions will fluctuate. To be qualified for the position, an applicant/employee will need to possess the ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to ones self or others.
