The Maintenance Technician (Plant Operations Assistant) works with the Plant Operations Director and Executive Director to ensure a high standard of cleanliness, physical plant operations, and safety, both inside and outside of the building. S(he) is responsible for assisting with the general operating maintenance, service, upkeep, and repair of the interior and exterior of the Community in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, regulations and Company policies. As a full-time maintenance tech, you will oversee the day-to-day facility maintenance operations when the director is not present.

Each day, the Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for:

• Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on community systems and assets: HVAC, safety, landscape, equipment, etc.
• Executes maintenance projects such as painting, carpentry, electricity, plumbing, etc.
• Ensures the upkeep and general cleanliness of the community including walls, floors, exterior sidewalks and driveways, etc.
• Supports the Director of Maintenance and the community with projects, as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 3 years of experience with building systems and equipment (electricity, plumbing, HVAC or carpentry)
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
• Ability to satisfy Level II background screening requirements
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
