Inspire ENT & Pulmonology is Hiring a Medical Office Manager Near Manhattan, KS

MEDICAL OFFICE MANAGER

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The Medical Office Manager is responsible for providing leadership, management, and vision necessary to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction, excellent quality of service, and achieve high levels of financial performance through efficiency, cost management, and revenue growth. The Medical Office
Manager will work with Medical Director and Owners to administer all programs and assist with various functions including policy administration, personnel management, strategic planning, marketing, regulatory compliance, and finance.

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Manage day-to-day finance and clinic operations for two practices.
  • Directly supervise all personnel in two practices.
  • Oversight of full revenue cycle.
  • Perform month-end reporting to include physician productivity, patient counts, partner financial allocations, procedure code analysis, charge master review, and any additional reports as necessary.
  • Create and communicate new policies, as needed. Ensure policies and procedures are updated and are being followed appropriately.
  • Handle employee relations issues. Facilitate performance evaluations and discipline processes per company policy.
  • Process all accounts payable and receivable invoices, payments, receipts, voided transactions, while maintaining a general ledger.
  • Review all time off requests and manage full payroll system for company and staff.
  • Function as the super user for all systems, creating or changing templates, adding, changing, or deleting users, creating operational changes and suggestions, etc.
  • Act as liaison for all vendors and communicate with IT Administrator to resolve all computer issues.
  • Maximize clinic workflows through troubleshooting current processes and improving office efficiencies. Create and communicate policies and procedures, as needed, to clarify workflow.
  • Obtain and review competitive pricing on all services, enrolls with GPO and GPA contracts where beneficial, negotiates and monitors insurance contract pricing, etc.
  • Complete all advertising and marketing duties.
  • Maintain a professional attitude with clients, business associates, coworkers, managers, patients, vendors, and administration.
  • Compliant and an active participant in policies and procedures, OSHA, RM, employee health and safety programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in management and operations required.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare industry.
  • Proven ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of employment practices and related laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, present information, and respond to questions, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to analyze data or information by identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information, and use logic to address work-related issues and problems.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and set priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations.
  • Microsoft Office: 1 year (preferred)
  • Administrative experience: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Work Location: In person
  • Ability to commute/relocate: Manhattan, Kansas. Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Read computer screens and mail, email, fax, talk on the phone, etc.
  • Ability to unpack and move supplies up to 40 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Medical business office environment; Contact with patients, the general public, healthcare workers, and office staff. Multi-task-oriented position with frequent interruptions. Contact may involve handling angry or upset customers.

Attire consists of business casual. Friday attire is casual (jeans may be worn on Friday’s only, provided no rips, tears, or holes).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
