We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them live fulfilling and independent lives. Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
- Implement individualized care plans and behavior management strategies
- Support individuals in developing life skills and achieving personal goals
- Accompany individuals to appointments, outings, and community activities
- Monitor and document vital signs as required
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the well-being of individuals
Requirements:
- Previous experience in social work, dementia care, home care, or patient care is preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
