Inspire Brands is Hiring a Senior Manager, Corp / Fund Accounting Near Atlanta, GA

Provide leadership and oversight for the Corporate Accounting team, inclusive of internal reporting and consolidation, G&A, significant accruals, intercompany, domestic and international accounting. Responsibilities include the review of complex and technical accounting transactions, review of general activity and balances, balance sheet reconciliation oversight, and various flux analyses. This role is also responsible for oversight and coordination of the external auditors and valuation specialists, including the review of financial statements. Organize, supervise, and motivate a team of accounting professionals responsible for accurate and timely accounting and reporting, with controls execution. Participate in special projects and company-wide initiatives, as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in the development and implementation of goals, initiatives, technical accounting policies and standards and ensure consistent compliance. Review accounting, recording, and reconciliation of corporate accounting transactions and advise on proper treatment of accounting issues in accordance with GAAP.
  • Provide oversight in managing, monitoring, and streamlining the monthly and quarterly close process to ensure the process is efficient and effective in providing accurate and timely financial information and related reports. Communicate effectively across the organization regarding business and accounting issues, policies and procedures to ensure accurate accounting in accordance with GAAP. Respond to frequent ad-hoc requests for information from senior management, FP&A, Tax, IA, Supply Chain, Legal, HR, and other functional areas of the business.
  • Be a leader in identifying and implementing inter and intra department process improvements and enhancements. Foster an environment of continuous improvement within and among other departments concerning the accuracy of all transactions entered to the general ledger and G&A information provided to Management.
  • Liaise with the Legal, FP&A, Fixed Assets, Treasury, Human Resources, Revenue, Restaurant Accounting, Risk Management and other groups to ensure proper accounting for significant accruals and accounting transactions.
  • Manage the interim and annual audit process with all external auditors, including supervising and reviewing the preparation of the audit schedules with all departments. Coordinate preparation and review assigned financial statements and footnotes to financial statements.
  • Participate in or lead specific initiatives for SOX control efforts in support of public company readiness.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8 years of total experience, minimum.
  • 4 – 7 years of Big 4 Accounting or similar experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES:

  • Ability to plan work effectively, supervise and coordinate the work of the team, meet the deadlines assigned, and make sound decisions.
  • Self-sufficient and dependable and strong ability to multi-task and shift priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, including US GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel and Word in a Windows environment.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES: 

  • Experience with Oracle or other major ERP systems
  • Experience in Public Company and strong technical accounting expertise.
