HOW YOU WILL SOAR:
The Sr. Quality Engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. The incumbent will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.) while assisting with the definition and implementation of Inspiras automation framework, automation coverage, code review, analysis, and regression test suite maintenance.
Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Provide code review and analysis of teams automation code
Assist in managing and maintain automated unit and regression test suite within our current framework and infrastructure using Azure DevOps tools, Selenium, JDBC, etc.
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
Identify, record, document test plans, test cases and testing strategies and track bugs
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
Monitor debugging process results
Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
Work with tools, such as Jenkins, to develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
Contribute to the full software development life cycle
Support and mentor junior team members

IF YOU HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING, APPLY:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
4-7 years of experience
5 years of experience in QA testing and Automation
Proficiency with tools such as Selenium, BrowserStack, Postman or other QA testing tools
Proven experience in developing and coding automation test scripts
Proven work experience in software quality assurance and development
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Proven experience preparing, presenting, and maintaining required SDLC documentation and artifacts
Experience in CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, and database tools like Toad.
Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
Process flexibility and comfortable working with multiple client-specific standards, processes, and tools
Prepare and update QA documents for testing and demonstrations to stakeholders
Communication skills and Ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Self-Starter and responsible for delivering projects on time.
Experience with complex technical integrations (APIs, web services) and SaaS / PaaS cloud platforms preferred
Experience with any of the following is a plus: XML, JavaScript, .NET framework, T-SQL, JQuery, JSON preferred
Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting preferred
Working knowledge and experience using Agile with Scrum methodology
Familiarity with Jira and the software development life cycle (SDLC) preferred
Certifications: QA testing related certifications (or willingness to obtain) such as Certified Test Engineer (CSTE), Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), and Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST)
