 Director, Product Marketing

We are currently seeking a Director, Product Marketing to join our team. 

This position is responsible for the creation, execution, measurement, and optimization of audience-based campaigns. This position will partner effectively across the marketing and sales organizations to achieve successful campaign outcomes. This position also serves as a mentor and example for other team members supporting continuous improvement initiatives and coaching from department leadership.

Responsibilities: 

  • Becomes an expert in the market, audience, and regions. Builds and regularly updates the fact book that includes relevant market intelligence needed to create marketing campaigns, including TAM, buyer pain points and personas, market trends, client data and insights, and competitive positioning.
  • Builds marketing strategies that align to and support business objectives. Uses insights from the fact book to ensure clearly identified target buyers, pain points/aspirations, messaging to address those pain points, and competitive positioning to ensure it is compelling and competitively differentiated in the market. 
  • Uses theinsights gleaned from the fact book and marketing strategies, and input from the sales team, to develop audience-based campaigns with programs specifically targeting reputation/awareness, demand generation, client engagement, and internal enablement.
  • Partners with appropriate members across the marketing organization to ensure a narrative-driven content journey is created that aligns to the insights in the fact books and marketing strategies. Plans campaign tactics that deliver compelling messages to the right audience in the right place at the right time. Ensures campaign budgets are being managed and spent effectively.
  • Partners with appropriate members of the marketing and sales organizations to regularly measure performance of on-going campaigns. Makes optimizations to content and/or tactic mix based on data and feedback.
  • Develops a strong, trusted partnership with sales, working to get regular input and feedback on strategies and campaigns. Review the performance of ongoing campaigns on at least a quarterly basis, ensuring to incorporate feedback from the field as appropriate.
  • Serves as a mentor and example for other team members, a first-line peer resource, supporting ongoing training and development of team, continuous improvement efforts and initiatives, and coaching from department leadership.
  • Maintains commitment to the successful achievement of team and organizational goals through a desire to participate with and help other members of the team.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required. MBA is preferred.
  • Five to seven years of marketing experience in a related B2B field is required. Seven years of marketing experience in related B2B field is preferred.
  • Five years of experience in planning and executing B2B marketing campaigns is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated campaign management experience and skills, preferably in a B2B technology or services industry.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills.
  • Effective problem solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs and demonstrated ability to learn other computer applications as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Communicates tactfully and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and maintains effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment.
  • Demonstrated success in running integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with landing page design and optimization is preferred.
  • Familiarity with best practices associated with email marketing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics is preferred.
