Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Personal Injury Litigation Representative to join our team. The role of the Personal Injury Litigation Representative is to provide vital assistance to individuals who have suffered personal injuries (auto or workers-compensation related), helping them navigate the claims process and access the support they need. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a compassionate approach to client care.
 
Duties:
  • Assist PI Lead as directed with a variety of tasks for multidisciplinary medical practice with multiple locations. Tasks include but not limited to the following 
  • Printing, scanning, sending documentation as directed. 
  • EMR account forensics - analysis of billing, record logs, EOBs/eras 
  • Analysis of claim specific negotiations - determining expected reimbursement reporting to lead and corresponding with the third party to negotiate as directed. 
  • Analysis of deposition requests and coordination of scheduling with all insight providers and attorneys involved. 
  • Contacting insurance companies, law firms, patients, etc to determine accurate auto claim details and limits or ascertain the feasibility of the auto case/claim. 
  • Maintain PI Lead calendar for all court proceedings and other events. 
  • Answering phone calls and answering or directing the call or issue appropriately. 
  • Multitude of other tasks as needed and directed. 
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and maintaining client databases.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct in all client interactions.
 
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
  • Previous Billing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of general principles of medical billing including verification, authorization, posting charges, procedures, diagnosis, medical necessity, as well as knowledge of federal, and state regulations and billing rules
  • Knowledge and understanding of CPT, HCPCS CCI, MUE, ICD-10, NCD, informational and payment Modifiers
  • Knowledge of commercial billing procedures across a variety of payer systems.
  • Is aware of standards and performs in accordance with them.
  • Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy.
  • Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement.
  • Able to work compassionately with patients and coworkers to exhibit patient care second to none
