Virtual High School Spanish Teacher – Indiana Statewide

Hoosier College and Career Academy

The ideal candidate for the Virtual High School Spanish Teacher must be able to plan and coordinate Spanish I, II & III year classes according to the curriculum, work well with multi-grade and individual instruction.

  • It is possible this position might entail other teaching areas (i.e. PLTW; Math Specialist; etc.) if applicable.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, administrators, and staff. Other duties as assigned by the principal and/or Superintendent.
  • Foster positive student relationships in a technology rich classroom environment.
  • Provide students with engaging learning activities grounded in state/local standards.
  • Ensure ALL students are learning - provide enriched experiences and/or additional support to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Engage in the variety of extra and co-curricular activities available to promote school climate and opportunities for students.
  • Provides supervision of students in educational settings.
  • Plans daily classroom instructional activities.
  • Keeps daily student attendance.
  • Communicates with parents, teachers, administrators, and related service providers on an as needed basis.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
  • Indiana Teaching Credentials for Secondary Spanish
  • Excellent Communication and Team Skills
  • Strong Organizational Skills
