Job Description:

We are seeking a Sr. Cisco UCCE Engineer to join our Healthcare client. This individual will play a crucial role in a transition to cloud-based operations and will be heavily focused on the security aspects of this migration.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 4 technical support for data and voice network systems, addressing inquiries from the Customer Support Center, staff, site personnel, and external vendors.
• Oversee the implementation and administration of LAN/WAN networks across various locations. These networks support a VoIP-based phone system and video conferencing infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPN tunnels, load balancers, DNS/IP address management, and backup/recovery solutions.
• Ensure that all firmware is up to date.
• Implement encryption to TLS.2.
• Work with internal systems, including Cisco phones, Palo Alto firewalls, and Aruba wireless.
• Communicate effectively with senior leadership, including the CTO and CIO of the health system.
• Serve as a mentor within the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements:

• 5 years of telephony experience, ideally with Cisco UCCE
• Experience with Cisco Call Manager
• Experience QoS and Bandwidth management
• Experience with cloud technologies, ideally Azure
• Experience with telephony security
• Ability to work on a hybrid schedule, with the flexibility to work on-site as needed.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
• A positive, upbeat personality and the ability to work well in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CCNP level certification or higher is strongly preferred.
• Cisco CCIE, Aruba AMCP, Palo Alto PCNSE
• Experience with cloud migrations and security.
