PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB : Under general supervision of the Media and Communications Manager, the Facility and Event Coordinator will oversee and / or perform a wide variety of support activities for events hosted by the Land Grant Program.
This position will also assist the College of Agriculture, Community, and the Sciences Media and Communications Department with efforts to promote the work of the Land Grant Program and Kentucky State University.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY : The individual will work with the Media and Communications Manager and employees across the Land Grant Program to schedule and execute events / meetings at the the Cooperative Extension Building, the Center for Sustainability of Farms and Families, and at off-campus locations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
OTHER DUTIES : The position will conduct other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS : An Associate’s or higher degree in Agriculture, Ag Communications, Communications, Marketing, Hospitality & Event Management or related field preferred.
Strong experience without a degree will be considered if this experience is directly related to supporting online events (meetings, webcasts, webinars, online conferences, etc.
Candidate should have the ability to work nights, weekends and / or holidays as necessary dependent on scheduled events
