The Charge & Yield Analyst reports to the Director of Business Process and is a part of our financial team. They support the units reporting of production through accurate recording of shipments, receipts and inventory and will work closely with operations, inspectors, and schedulers to ensure that all unit inventories and movements are captured daily.
Job Responsibilities May Include:
· Daily independent compilation of refinery production data gathered from multiple sources including internal and external teams.
· Reviews collected data to ensure quality, identifying issues and making corrections while meeting daily and weekly reporting deadlines.
· Creates and maintains a unit material balance in the Honeywell PAR system
· Populates/generates a daily composition report based on feedstock receipts and refined product shipments
· Coordinates with Operations to obtain receipt and shipment details regarding sources and destinations of all daily transactions
· Executes the daily procedures necessary to populate the system with pertinent transaction data from the prior day and generates accurate reports in accordance with established deadlines
· Identifies and resolves data quality and other issues that impact the accuracy or timeliness of refinery volumetric or mass balances
· Ensures systems and procedures necessary for the daily charge and yield accounting process are operational and effective
· Reports exceptions to responsible management as soon as practical
· Processes daily inventories, feedstock compositions, receipts, shipments, and consumption/fuel use
· Supports periodic physical inventories
· Interacts with other refinery and corporate staff to address questions about site volumetric balances
· Prepares EIA and other government reports
· Performs special projects as assigned
· Meets daily production deadline, including reporting three days of production on Mondays
· Tracks refinery rolling stock rail car inventory in an accurate and timely manner
· Collaborates with yield accounting counterparts to divide routine workload and ensure execution of key deliverables which include:
· Daily refinery production reports due at 10:00AM on weekdays (Friday through Sunday data is submitted on Mondays)
· Peer review of submitted reports
· Weekly state and federal government volumes reports.
· Drives continuous improvement by promoting the identification and development of yield accounting process enhancements.
· Interacts with other Refinery and Corporate staff to address questions regarding our daily production reporting.
· Must work effectively in a time sensitive environment and meet daily deadlines without sacrificing accuracy or completeness.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High Level of Experience with Microsoft Excel
· Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Business/Accounting
Preferred Qualifications:
· 5 years’ experience in any combination of:
· Production reporting
· Manufacturing experience (refining, petrochemical, or other industries)
· Office/accounting work environment
· Prior experience with Advisor or Honeywell PAR
