Duties and responsibilities

• Input patient and prescription related requests into the computer systems (Framework and DocuTrack) 
  • Answer calls quickly and efficiently
  • Verify pertinent legal personal information per HIPAA compliance
  • Ensure accuracy of patient name, facility, physician, drug, etc.
  • Effectively communicate with typed notes via DocuTrack or email to process patient call
• Process patient requests in a timely manner –schedule deliveries/pick-ups based on patient needs
• Escalate any time sensitive issues to the Lead Technicians
• Work with Data Entry to ensure new and refill orders are entered before cut-off times 
• Communicate with physician offices verbally or by fax to follow-up on new or refill orders
• Troubleshoot any order issues, as needed
• Review and follow all applicable policies and procedures
• Contribute to the establishment of a continuous improvement culture
• Other duties as assigned –flexibility to change duties throughout the work day

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician-in-Training license from the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire **We can help you obtain this license**
• Clean background check
