About You

You are a natural and energetic leader who leads by example. You excel in front of customers and have strong account management skills. An experienced people manager, you inspire, motivate, mentor and coach while establishing metrics that drive performance. You are comfortable collaborating with and presenting to executive teams, cross functional department heads, and private equity owners to ensure priorities are understood and aligned with the overall company direction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and upskill a complete team of 4 sales & 4 customer service professionals. Ensure that the right people are in the right seats to maximize potential.
  • Provide direction, coaching, training and feedback through regular group and 1:1 meetings to foster a productive, fulfilling and harmonious work environment. Challenge and empower the team to grow beyond their comfort zone.
  • Own the revenue budget with full accountability for delivering top line and bottom-line results.
  • Lead the sales team in optimizing existing client relationships and Identify levers for growth within new markets via a robust prospect pipeline. Manage the sales pipeline to ensure adequate lead inflow to reach our sales targets.
  • Direct responsibility for 1-2 Key Accounts.
  • Understand product costs and margins while providing leadership in pricing strategy.
  • Foster productive working relationships with cross functional depts, namely R&D, Quality, Operations, Purchasing & Finance to enhance our nimble and fast paced entrepreneurial culture.
  • Champion usage of the company’s CRM & Project Management system and introduce ideas for improvement based on prior experience and best practices.
  • Leverage the T&E budget to maintain a presence at industry tradeshows and entertain clients.
  • Reporting to our CCO, prepare sales reports, budgets, plans, and customer updates.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business/Management/Marketing or similar field. (MBA a plus)
  • Progressive experience that demonstrates professional growth and achievement with a proven track record of success.
  • Minimum 10 years of sales/business development in the personal care, nutrition or food flavor/ingredients market including 4 years managing a sales and/or customer service team.
  • High business acumen and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize and articulate highest impact initiatives.
  • Highly organized multitasker with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and generally tech savvy.
  • Willing to travel as needed.
  • Position is based in our Springville, UT offices. Open to remote/hybrid for the right candidate.
