Description

ICMS is seeking a Logistics Clerk to support our program to our contract in Asheville, NC.

Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipping, Receiving and General Clerk. The position will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing mail, sorting and distributing packages, and ensuring the efficient flow of mail within the organization in addition to providing printing services. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and distribute incoming mail to designated departments or individuals, ensuring efficient handling and timely delivery. Package, label, and apply accurate postage to outgoing mail. Keep precise records of both incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Manage the mailroom inventory and supplies, collaborating with various departments to facilitate the timely delivery of important documents. Handle confidential information discreetly and address mail-related issues and inquiries from staff or external contacts.
  • Ensure adherence to postal regulations and company mail policies. Support additional administrative tasks as required. Assist customers with copying and printing needs, offering a positive and efficient service experience.
  • Oversee all aspects of the print production process, necessitating a strong grasp of printing technologies. Utilize printing software and equipment to process and fulfill print requests, maintaining accuracy in specifications such as size, color, and quantity.
  • Operate various printing and copying equipment, including digital printers, copiers, and large format printers. Monitor print quality and make adjustments as necessary. Process print orders, including collating, binding, and finishing. Troubleshoot technical issues with printing equipment and perform routine maintenance for optimal functionality.
  • Manage inventory of paper, toner, and supplies, reordering as needed. Provide guidance to customers on paper types, binding options, and related services. Utilize computer software for print job processing and tracking, ensuring the finished products meet quality standards.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar role as a Mail Clerk or related position.
  • Familiarity with mailroom equipment, including postage meters and sorting machines.
  • Previous experience in a copy center or similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with copy machines, printers, and related equipment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling mail and packages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Basic MS computer skills for tracking and recording mail data.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and move mail or packages as required.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a Background Investigation.
