Innovation First International is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Representative - Make a Difference with STEM Robotics!

Job Summary:

Innovation First International and its subsidiary, VEX Robotics, Inc, is an undisputed leader in designing and marketing educational robotics worldwide. The VEX Robotics Design System is the leading classroom robotics platform designed to nurture creative advancement in robotics and knowledge of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education. VEX Robotics is also proud to sponsor the world’s largest robotics competition.

We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative to work within our VEX Robotics division. Candidates should be self-motivated with initiative to achieve sales goals and manage their time productively.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing professional sales skills to prospect for business via phone & email while demonstrating great phone & email etiquette. Involves warm and cold calling to prospects and customers. Leads provided.
  • Consulting with customers & prospects, promoting solutions, preparing quotes, following through in a detail-minded manner, and closing sales.
  • Executing company sales strategies and achieving sales goals.
  • Working well in an office-based, fast-paced, team environment.
  • Utilizing computer software efficiently & effectively (i.e. CRM system, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.).
  • Possessing a professional appearance, positive ethics and great communication skills.
  • Some travel required for face-to-face customer meetings, trade shows, etc.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Knowledge of robotics, STEM, and/or technology curriculum highly preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed.

Required Experience and Education:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ account sales experience required, preferably in selling technology solutions to educators and administrators.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree in a related field a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds when needed (for example, working at trade shows).
