Responsibilities:

8 years of hands-on experience in architecture, design or development of enterprise data solutions, applications, and integrations

Experience creating and maintaining conceptual, logical, physical, and semantic data models.

Knowledge of data architecture and design patterns and the ability to apply them.

Hands-on experience with modern enterprise data architectures and data toolsets (ex: data warehouse, data marts, data lake, modeling tools, profiling tools)

Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate with multiple teams, both technology and business executives

In-depth understanding of structured and unstructured data principles

Good knowledge in various ETL tools and data sanitization

Proven analytical skills:

Prior experience with database systems (e.g., Exadata, NoSQL, Cassandra, Neo4j, etc.)

Position Summary:

Participates in defining an architectural vision and solution architecture which aligns with the enterprise architecture strategy, technology, and platform choices. Describes the solution intent and the associated operating environment, determines the primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces, defining non-functional requirements and architectural runway to support new epics/features. Ensures the solution is fit for purpose and use by working with stakeholders, vendors/service providers, and evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions. Works across business and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision and evolves it to an emerging backlog. Consults the business to clearly understand the business problems and technology to understand the technology challenges of the solution and finds creative solutions through practical experiments and POCs. Leads rapid shaping of a high-level architecture with details filled in with emerging business requirements; ensures architecture is flexible, modular, and designed to adapt easily. Utilizes the defined best practices, templates, and documentation to create architectural designs; suggests improvements to best practices and templates through practical knowledge. Works with Product Manager/Owner to plan and prioritize technology focused backlog items for the architecture runway to enable business epics/features. Clarifies the architecture for the development teams to support implementation and provides solution options to resolve any architectural impediments. Performs design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements for a solution are sufficiently met (e.g., security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability). Educates team members on the technology practices, standardization strategies and best practices to create innovative solutions.

5 years of data modeling experience in Erwin (preferred) or Power Designer

Experience developing and enhancing conceptual, logical and physical data models.

Experience working with big data and eco system (e.g. Hadoop, Hive, pySpark, HBase, Sqoop, Impala, Kafka, Flume, Oozie, MapReduce, S3 etc.)

Experience with high level programming languages (Perl, Python, Java, etc)

Experience working with database systems (e.g. Exadata, NoSQL, Cassandra, Neo4j, etc.)

Experience working as part of an Agile team and using Agile SDLC tools (Jira, etc.)

Ability to partner with other functional areas to ensure execution of design, development, testing, debugging and documenting application.

Ability to develop awareness of business function for which application is being designed in order to drive out detailed requirements and form effective partnerships.

Strong analytical ability, independent problem solving, and good communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and deliver in a fast-paced agile environment.

Expert knowledge and experience in software development methodologies and industry practices

Expert understanding and experience with building and deploying enterprise applications.

Ability to work in a matrix environment with minimal supervision.

Excellent written, verbal and diagramming skills. Expertise in using PowerPoint and clearly articulating findings/presenting solutions.
