Direct Counsel is Hiring a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney Near Los Angeles, CA
Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings, discovery, memoranda, motions and other legal documents
- Handle litigation matters from inception through trial, including taking depositions, attending mediations and settlement negotiations
- Make independent decisions and advising clients on pre-litigation and litigation matters
- Work with experts
- Legal research
- Other projects, as assigned
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar and in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience, preferably with experience in high exposure, catastrophic personal injury cases, general negligence. or toxic tort matters
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills
- Experience with billable hours, preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Highly Competitive salary typically ranging from $130,000 to $200,000, Bonuses and Benefits
