InMotion US is Hiring a Training Coordinator Near Blacksburg, VA

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for developing, implementing, monitor and optimizing training processes to achieve maximum Safety, Quality (defect reduction), Productivity (production improvement in cycle time), On Time Delivery, waste reduction, and related. This position has a strong focus on facility and product improvement in the interest of key metrics such as profitability and cost of poor quality. Responsible for driving and executing training improvement throughout the facility. This position reports to the HR Manager for training purposes.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Utilize a systematic approach to analyzing and implementing educational opportunities to optimize overall manufacturing safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and costs.
  • Must demonstrate Leading and Directing skills.
  • Must be able to facilitate large groups and maintain good direction and attentiveness.
  • Compile and write training materials and conduct training sessions.
  • Provide guidance and training to workers engaged in production on the factory floor.
  • Set up mock workstations and train incoming production associates.
  • Provide facilitation of training as it relates to positions during the onboarding process of new employees.
  • Lead and drive improvement in existing processes
  • Develop improved processes in the interest of profitability and COPQ reduction
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NECESSARY:
  • Process improvement and analytical skills required
  • Demonstrate a high degree of creativity and initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects within defined time.
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Work well with others and have the ability to facilitate cross functional teams
  • Excellent PC skills- Microsoft office
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Ability to apply LEAN manufacturing tools in a production environment
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business or engineering preferred.
  • 3 years minimum education, training, manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience with formalized continuous improvement methodologies
  • Six Sigma experience a plus
  • Knowledge of electric motor winding and assembly equipment a plus
  • Project management experience preferred
