Description
Panel Builder performs electrical control panel assembly and wiring for inline filling equipment. This position requires working from existing build patterns, schematics, pictures, and drawings to construct according to UL requirements. Control panel designs vary depending on the specific customer requirements and machine performance objectives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Panel builder is responsible for back-plane and complete enclosure assembly including mounting of all required hardware, wiring of components, mounting control panel to the machine and troubleshooting as needed during start up
· Fast paced, team oriented
· Ability to work with sales staff, controls engineers, experienced panel builders, assembly personnel, testing and installation technicians to resolve issues during design, build, test and install to customer satisfaction
· Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Customer Service and Management to solve problems, make machinery improvements and assist with Sales and Marketing effort
· Assist Technical Writer and Customer Service by providing operation information and information for work instructions/setup
· Work independently under limited supervision (self-management) to accomplish IFS goals while following all IFS policies, practices and procedures
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· 3 years of experience with industrial control panel assembly
· Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, diagnostic tools to construct and wire electrical control back planes
· Ability to read electrical schematics
· Ability to work with the team to meet commitments for timing and quality
· Positive/can do attitude
