Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for directing and evaluating all resident care given by the nurses within the Westminster community. Additional duties include administering disciplinary action and nursing care reporting.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, three (3) to five (5) years nursing supervisory experience with Registered Nurse certification required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Incumbent should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high-quality verbal and written communication ability, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and be knowledgeable on general nursing principles. Must be proficient in the operation of computer applications and Care System paging systems.

Key Responsibilities

Provides resident care in the form of treatment, medication, and diagnostic procedures as delegated by the Director of Nursing or designate physician

Completes and distributes nursing reports to the Director of Nursing and the designate physician within the given time requirement

Performs review of charts and resident information with all new admissions to the Nursing Center or Assisted Living Units.

Acts as a leader and manager of assigned positions; ensuring productivity, efficiency and accuracy in work performed.

Maintains professional presence when representing Westminster Lake Ridge; exhibits degree of professionalism consistent with standards in performance, behavior, and appearance

Demonstrates professional development/skills competency in all activities.

Complies with Ingleside's established safety rules and practices.
