Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, emissions technology, and other systems found in heavy equipment, aerials, and forestry equipment.
• Apply effective problem-solving skills, including analyzing diagnostic data and utilizing software tools.
• Complete required training and certification programs.
• Efficiently perform repair schedules.
• Be prepared for possible travel to conduct on-site repairs in various conditions.
• Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A positive attitude is essential, and prior industry experience is preferred.

Qualifications and Experience :

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational school coursework is a plus.
• Minimum of two years of work experience, including :
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mobile equipment.
• Demonstrated experience working with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, air and water-cooled combustion engines, and diesel-gas-LP powered engines.
• Experience working directly with customers on service-related activities.
• Ability to pass a background check, Department of Motor Vehicles check, and drug screen.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Safe use of hand and power shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
• Basic understanding of personal computer usage including MS Office Suite and email.
• Good verbal communication skills, customer-centric attitude, and approach.
• Basic estimating and inventory management skills.

Physical Requirements :

• Must be able to lift 60 pounds, with most items weighing between 2 and 20 pounds. Occasionally, lifting items weighing up to 90 pounds may be required (assistance provided for items over 60 pounds).
• Position involves sitting, standing, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Daily bending, stooping, kneeling, or squatting (up to 30% of the day).
• Safety glasses and safety shoes are required.
• Must be medically capable of performing all aspects of the job with maximum safety.
