Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and preparing delicious tea, coffee and other beverages. If you have a passion for tea, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have excellent customer service skills, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso, tea, and smoothies
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Maintain inventory of supplies and restock as needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines in food preparation and handling
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues or complaints
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and different coffee beans is a plus
- Familiarity with square or similar systems is a plus
- Strong math skills for cash handling and calculating orders accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
