Scientist: Neural Interfaces Laboratory in Brain Machine Interface (BMI)

We continue to provide innovative solutions with our multidisciplinary teams formed with exceptional employees. We are seeking a Scientist to support the Neural Interfaces Laboratory in Brain Machine Interface (BMI) research.

As a member of our team, you will support U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) efforts in Dayton, OH. This offers opportunities to work in a dynamic environment, with state-of-the-art technologies, BMI experts, and Subject Matter Experts (SME). This work focuses on developing research studies and executing them from initial design and data collection to data analysis. The Neural Interfaces Laboratory is responsible for evaluating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) brain imaging equipment and applying it to enhance warfighter performance. This work focuses on developing research studies to enhance cognitive performance associated with human decision making.

Essential Job Functions:

Aid in data collection for ongoing studies within the NIL.

Aid in study set up and design for upcoming studies within the NIL.

Support the team in proposal writing, conference materials, and publications.

Additional Duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

At least a BS degree in STEM-focused studies, and some related experience.

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet all eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Experience working in a lab utilizing BMI and physiological sensing devices (i.e., Neurable, BioSemi, Zephyr, Tobii) with human subjects.

Ability to adhere to IRB requirements and standards

Ability and desire to work in a group environment.

Possession of excellent English oral and written communication skills.

Desired Skills:

Experience with programming.

Familiarity with non-invasive brain stimulation techniques.
