Job Description

• Analyze, prepare and implement financial controls and reporting procedures involving budgeting, allocating, receiving, disbursing and accounting of funds.
• Perform month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and account analysis.
• Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts during month-end close.
• Responsible for the balance sheets reconciliation
• Review GL account coding for vendor and customer transactions
• Responsible for the full cycle financial
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Maintain prepaid, accrued expense, & fixed asset schedules
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses.
• Uphold best practices, ensuring that all tasks are “auditable” and GAAP compliant.
• Provide support to accounting team and external auditors during year-end audit.
• Assist with weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reporting
• Complete ad hoc projects as requested by the executive team
• Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications

• 7 years of general ledger or other relevant accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Multi state experience required: CA, WI, PA, IL, TX, CO
• Experience with QuickBooks required.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial statement preparation, and management reporting.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfortable manipulating large data sets.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, dynamic work environment
• Autonomous with excellent project management skills; you are able to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Highly collaborative with proven ability to work with our team, customers, and external vendors.
• An entrepreneurial and flexible mindset.
• Exceptionally detail-oriented on both form and function.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The pay is based on the local market and on the skills that the individual brings to the opportunity as a Staff Accountant. Generally in the $80,000-$100,000 per year, DOE.
