We are looking for a Software Engineer II located in Tacoma, WA to join our Threat Analytics and Feed or SOC Insights team, reporting to the senior manager of Engineering. In this role, you will design leading-edge, market-disrupting cybersecurity solutions in our fast-paced, high-functioning, global environment. You will specifically develop systems to distribute and manage large volumes of data used by governments and multinational corporations to defend their networks against cyberattacks, collaborating with the SOC Insights, UX, Threat Defense and Policy, and product management teams.
You are the ideal candidate if you are passionate about writing high-quality code for a cutting-edge SaaS solution, and you value ongoing communication and socialization of amazing discoveries in a tight-knit community of engineers. 
What you’ll do:
  • Develop deep mastery of assigned projects and associated technologies 
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and teams to understand the features and requirements of software development initiatives
  • Drive the completion of your assigned features, contributing to the overall project completion
  • Implement core components and optimize selected code sets for enhanced performance
  • Contribute to solution design, development, and implementation, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability
What you’ll bring:
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of software development experience with programming languages such as GoLang, Python, and Java
  • At least one year of experience working in high-volume data applications and familiarity with data processing frameworks like Kafka, Spark, Flink, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms, including AWS or GCP; MLOps experience is a plus
  • Experience in cloud technologies and microservices architecture
  • Motivated self-starter who excels in dynamic, fast-paced, and team-oriented environments
  • Ability to produce logically structured, accurate, and clearly written code
  • Ability to communicate issues factually and openly
  • Willingness to actively share knowledge and information with other employees to enhance team productivity
  • Bachelor’s of science in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field

  • Understand the Threat Analytics and Feed platform
  • Develop expertise in GoLang or Spark
  • Learn new skills related to cloud technologies, namely gaining domain expertise
  • Develop expertise in a microservices architecture in Kubernetes 
After about a year, you will…
  • Make a significant contribution to our services 
  • Make a significant contribution to our design and processes 
  • Start taking ownership of product features

You can expect our employment offers to take many factors into consideration, including but not limited to the location of the role, internal equity, applicable past experience, individual skill set, education, and professional certifications. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned is the base salary range for the role. The typical base salary range for this position based in Washington is $111,000 - $163,680 plus corporate bonus potential.
