This role will be located in Irvine, California

Specialist, Site Communications

  • The communications professional will be a part of employee and community relations at its state-of-the-art med tech hub in Irvine, California.
  • Home to five vibrant, high-growth businesses and nearly 2,000 employees, this is a high-profile role responsible for creating an amazing culture at the campus and also elevating our presence and contribution to the local community.
  • He or she will report to the Sr. Manager, Global Employee Engagement, CSS, and be a key member of a dynamic, world-class communications team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage employee campus communications: Home intranet postings, campus editorial calendar, digital signage
  • Create and distribute weekly campus newsletter and manage campus distribution lists
  • Support the team’s “always on” Orange County media relations goals, working with a local PR agency to project manage pending and future coverage opportunities
  • Provide internal and external communications support for Orange County job recruitment initiatives and act as local communications lead for Company in California initiative.
  • Support Orange County employee resource group (ERG) with communications needs. This role will oversee ERG communications projects in which design or writing support may be required and will craft and draft promotions of ERG events, and post-event recaps.
  • Provide support for on-campus events: sending calendar invitations, working with facilities on event planning, attending events (as needed) to help with setup and execution to ensure a great employee experience
  • Assist local facilities, EHS, GHS, Fitness Center communications requests to provide council on approved timing and channels for each communication and assisting with message editing and posting.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree
  • A minimum of 2 - 4 years of related public affairs or communications experience
  • Experience working in external media and/or community relations is preferred
  • Experience working with senior level executives is required
  • Project management experience preferred

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $33.00 - $34.00 per hour
