Looking for experience in bioanalysis (BA) for Pharmacokinetic, Pharmacodynamic and Toxicological sample analysis.

Particularly interested in candidates who have that experience in either a Pharma or contract (bioanalysis) BA lab, performing sample analysis and troubleshooting these types of studies.

Summary:

  • The main responsibilities of a Biologist II involve pre-clinical sample analysis using a ligand binding assay. Sample and reagent management using electronic tools such as Laboratory Information Management System (rLIMS) and others. Sample preparation and analysis utilizing hybrid manual and automated systems to generate high quality bioanalytical data.
  • Reporting results to project teams which enable Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic analysis.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute experiments based on bioanalytical protocol and in vivo study design.
  • Analyze pre-clinical in vivo samples based on operational schedule.
  • Qualify ligand binding assay based on bioanalysis protocol, interpret result, and make decision on assay readiness.
  • Data archiving in ELN and LIMS.
  • Effectively communicate experimental plan and results orally and in writing.
  • Contribute to technical report writing and day-to-day lab operations.
  • Sample management and sample data QC in LIMS. • Write, and update experimental protocols and procedures.
  • Initiate, design, interpret, troubleshoot operational assay independently and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS degree in biology, chemistry, or pharmacology.
  • 3-5 years of pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience will be considered for Biologist I
  • Attention to detail, experience performing lab testing, independent, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to properly use common lab tools such as pipettes.
  • Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment independently.
  • Experience with lab automation is highly desirable.
  • Experience with ligand binding workflow is required.
  • Experience in data driven troubleshooting is highly desirable.
  • Proven problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to draft technical reports.
  • Proficiency with computers and data analysis software including Excel and LIMS
  • Ability and willingness to work effectively in a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
