Responsibilities / Duties:

• Design and Develop prototype and early production wiring harnesses using wire boards and hand-tools.
• Participate in Engineering Design Reviews to influence and improve future products.
• Set and meet schedules based on company objectives and personal abilities. Experience with time management skills and setting personal schedules is critical. Experience with the effects of engineering change on a project schedule.
• Lead efforts to ensure quality / functional checks for prototype harnesses prior to unit installation.
• Design, create and maintain schematics and 2D wire harness drawings.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, PCBs and electro-mechanical systems to determine root cause and offer solutions to both engineering design and / or service teams as necessary.
• Help support our field engineering and service teams with training and hands on help.

Required Qualifications / Skills:

• Associates Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering Technology or higher
• 3 years of experience working with electrical systems and troubleshooting in a hands-on environment
• Use of Multimeter, Oscilloscope, power supplies, and other tools to diagnose electrical problems within a complex system
• Ability to scope work and set a schedule schematic and harness designs
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Strong self-starter and ability to find what needs to be done without supervision

Desired Qualifications / Skills:

• Electrical PCB layout and/or debug experience
• Soldering skills – PCB surface mount preferable
• Validation / Calibration / Testing experience in an industrial or automotive product
• Knowledge of CAN communications architectures and protocols
• Experience with Microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi etc.)
