Technical Project Manager
Contract to Hire- W2 Only
Stratford, CT (Hybrid Remote)
Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company based in Stratford, CT, is a world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced helicopters for military and commercial missions. The MH-60R production team within Sikorsky encompasses key customer-facing roles with the responsibility to ensure support of the U.S. Navy and its Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.
  • The U.S. Navy line of business is seeking an experienced professional to work as part of the Program Management team to provide production support as a Navy Production Project Manager.
  • The Navy Production Project Manager will be responsible for the flawless execution of all production obligations under the Navy Production line of business.
  • This role will require you to be organized with excellent attention-to-detail skills as you support manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and other key team members supporting the delivery of all Navy Green and Foreign Military Aircraft.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Solution material shortages through engineering and alternative supply chain solutions.
  • Support inputs into key U.S. Navy Production Office metrics, planning alignment of contracts, operations plan and financial plan
  • Assist with risk and opportunity (R&O) management
  • Support Long Range Planning (LRP) - alignment of future orders, financials, and delivery profile.
  • Support Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Assist with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings
  • Support weekly production reviews and other program management reviews
Basic Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal skills with teamwork and transparency as a priority
  • Demonstrable written communication and oral presentation skills
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management and processes associated with development, implementation, and management of cost and schedule baselines
  • Demonstrated SAP and materials management experience
  • Understanding of cross-plant requirements
  • Expertise in relationship building and strong communication with internal and external customers and employees at all levels and across multiple cultures
  • Proven background of demonstrating initiative and ability to drive issues/actions to closure
  • Demonstrated design/development experience
  • BA/BS degree w/ 3 years of relevant industry and/or functional experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • MA/MS degree w/ 2 years of relevant industry and/or functional experience with increasing levels of responsibility including experience in business management, finance, contracts, and/or program management.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience working with the US Navy or other military customers
  • Prior experience leading skilled professionals
  • Production environment experience
  • Material Logistics and planning experience
  • Ability to travel to domestically on an as needed basis
  • Energetic, organized, and results driven, the Navy Production Project Manager will have strong earned value skills. 
  • The candidate will have the ability to establish positive relationships with various customers, teammates, and subcontractors. 
  • The individual will also have solid written, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work complex issues in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and willingness to take on additional responsibilities is required. 
  • Previous program, finance, supply chain, operations or similar experience preferred. Familiarity with H-60 aircraft.
