Duties
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyewear based on their prescription and personal style preferences.
- Take accurate measurements of customers' facial features to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses and contact lenses.
- Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and other enhancements to help them make informed decisions.
- Process orders for eyewear and contact lenses, including verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations.
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies.
- Keep the optical area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic sales techniques and the ability to upsell products.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to ophthalmology and anatomy is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately measure and fit eyewear.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for order processing and inventory management.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other staff members.
- Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed.
