Platform Infrastructure Lead will provide guidance to subordinates based on organizational goals and company policy.The Platform Infrastructure Leadis a highly motivated Senior level engineer with experience in system hosting and managed services with a desire to join our high-spirited, hard-working team. The position offers excellent exposure to the latest network and security technologies from Cisco, Nutanix and other best in class vendors.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversees the Platform Infrastructure group providing both architecture and projects direction for the team.
• Mentor Staff in networking, systems, hosting, and business best practices
• Design, deploy and document network solutions for the expanding and evolving Infinite Campus network.
• Configure, manage and maintain existing networks and solutions including wireless, access, core and edge segments.
• Configure, manage and maintain existing hosting platforms including compute, storage and backup
• Plan, design and implement security systems and their associated software, including firewalls, VPNs and intrusion detection systems.
• Leverage monitoring systems to proactively identify and report capacity and resource constraints, weaknesses and potential problems before they lead to outages.
• Provide 3rd level support for internal and customer facing issues
• Identify and recommend infrastructure upgrades and improvements based upon industry best practices
• Manage relationships with vendors and providers.
• Configure and maintain WAN communications between multiple datacenters.
• Develop, maintain and update a library of technical documentation.
• Manage internal network support systems including DNS, DHCP, Cisco ISE, Cisco ACS, Cisco Prime Infrastructure and various SolarWinds modules.

Desired Background

• Experience with overseeing large scale networking projects
• Experience with VMWare and Nutanix AHV virtualization management
• Experience with Nutanix and Cisco UCS hosting platforms
• Experience with managing storage platforms such as NetApp
• Experience with Cisco Nexus and ACI data center switching
• Experience with Cisco Firepower firewall management
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst Wired and wireless network management
• Experience with Infoblox DDI
• Experience managing multi-datacenter environments
• 5 years of experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies
• 5 years of experience with Nutanix and Cisco or other Hyper-converged hosting platforms
• 5 years of experience with VMwareor other virtualization platforms
• Proven success in designing and maintaining scalable and highly stable LAN/WAN environments
