Position: Electrical Project Engineer

Location: Green River, Wyoming

Job Description:

As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of electrical projects in Green River, Wyoming. Working closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams, you will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in coordination with project stakeholders.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential challenges and opportunities.

Design and Engineering:

  • Design electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems, using industry-standard software.
  • Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure the feasibility and efficiency of electrical designs.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and client specifications.

Project Management:

  • Oversee project implementation from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to procure materials and resources.
  • Monitor project progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed to mitigate risks and ensure project success.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify that electrical installations meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Address any non-conformities or deviations from project specifications, and implement corrective measures as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, technicians, and project managers.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering and project management.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE).
  • Experience in industrial, commercial, oil & gas, mining, or utility-scale electrical projects is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
