Field Instrumentation Coordinator

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Industrial Instrumentation Coordinator to join our team. The Industrial Instrumentation Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth coordination and integration of instrumentation systems within our industrial projects. The primary responsibilities of this role include reviewing instrumentation submittals, overseeing the handoff process, and verifying the accuracy and completeness of all materials. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in industrial instrumentation, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

Review Instrumentation Submittals:

  • Evaluate instrumentation submittals submitted by contractors/vendors to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify any discrepancies or deviations and coordinate with relevant parties to address and resolve issues promptly.

Oversee Handoff Process:

  • Facilitate the smooth transition of instrumentation systems from the design phase to the construction/installation phase.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of instrumentation materials and equipment.

Verify Material Accuracy:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of instrumentation materials, equipment, and documentation to verify accuracy, quality, and suitability for the project.
  • Collaborate with procurement and quality assurance teams to address any discrepancies or deficiencies identified during the verification process.

Coordinate with Project Team:

  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including engineers, designers, procurement specialists, and contractors, to ensure alignment on project requirements and timelines.
  • Provide regular updates on instrumentation coordination activities, project status, and any issues or concerns that may arise.

Ensure Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure that all instrumentation systems and materials comply with relevant industry standards, codes, regulations, and safety guidelines.
  • Participate in safety meetings, risk assessments, and audits to promote a culture of safety and compliance on project sites.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in industrial instrumentation coordination, project management, or a related role within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of instrumentation systems, including sensors, transmitters, control valves, and instrumentation control panels.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software, MS Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance in all aspects of work.

Additional Information:

  • This position may require occasional travel to project sites for inspections, meetings, or coordination activities.
  • The Industrial Instrumentation Coordinator will report to Field Control Supervisor and work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement specialists, and contractors to support project objectives and deliverables.
