Indian Hills Country Club is Hiring a Lifeguard Near Mission Hills, KS
- Vacuums pool bottom; empties automatic skimmer; skims bugs and other debris from surface to prepare pool for daily use.
- Supervises and observes swimmers at all times to ensure their safety.
- Administers to minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises of swimmers.
- Maintains amenities in and cleanliness of changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers.
- Assists in organizing clinics and private swimming lessons for members as directed by the Swimming Pool Manager or Instructors.
- Enforces rules of conduct.
- Organizes and monitors pool games at all times; suggests pool side games.
- Enforces diving rules at all times.
- Places rescue tube and ring buoy on the lifeguard chair in the morning and at the end of the day returns these and all swimming aids and pool toys to the lifeguard locker.
- Straightens the pool and deck areas during shift and at the end of the day.
- Moves tables and chairs as needed for variety of events.
- Maintains all necessary records determined by the Pool Manager.
- Guards are always in chairs, whether people are in the pool or not.
- Walks the deck: being aware of what is going on during busy times.
- Blowing whistles: horseplay, running, wrestling, dunking, and pushing is not allowed.
- Pets are not allowed at the pool.
- Dive Well: only one person allowed on ladder or board at a time, one bounce, flotation devices not allowed.
- Reports any bad behavior accurately to clubhouse management as soon as possible so they can respond.
