Sr. Salesforce Developer - Contingent

The Senior Salesforce Developer will be responsible for providing development support on Index Analytics portfolio of Salesforce contracts and subcontracts as assigned by management. This role will be expected to support updating existing functionality and new development, working between Visualforce and Lightning. In this role, there will be an opportunity for growth and mentoring, working closely with the Salesforce Architect, who will provide guidance and suggestions for technical growth. All the current Salesforce development Index conducts is done using a SAFe Agile methodology.

Responsibilities 

• Support Index Analytics Government clients in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. Metro Area 
• Provide enterprise-level solutions on the Salesforce platform to lead implementations providing oversight direction on adherence to the architecture, design best practices, development, and integration 
• Work with architects, managers, and business users to support the development activities. 
• Perform as a team player and work effectively within the agile environment in 2-week sprints. 
• Correctly assess when out-of-the-box solutions can be implemented instead of custom development. 
• Create and develop Salesforce communities with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Aura, and Web Components using JavaScript and CSS 
• Work proactively with the business analyst and technical teams, and maintain accountability for work within the sprint team 
• Troubleshoot the existing Salesforce application for defects and provide solutions that optimize the code base
• Focus on test-driven-development and align the development with user stories, and test cases with acceptance criteria 
• Quickly understand the requirements of the application 
• Perform administrative functions as needed, such as data loading using XL-Connector
• Convert user stories to technical tasks to demonstrate and document necessary design updates 
• Maintain & reuse the existing custom code (or) configurations 

Qualifications

• US citizen or Authorized to Work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust.
• Bachelor’s degree required or four years of relevant work experience as a substitute
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, 6 of which must be in Salesforce development
• Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification Required 
• Experience developing in Salesforce using standard objects, custom objects, workflows, validation rules, process builders, flow, approval process with triggers 
• Ability to work on multiple projects and help prioritize work and manage deployment risks 
• Familiar using IDEs such as Eclipse (or) Visual Studio 
• Salesforce Platform Developer II and Salesforce Admin certifications preferred 
• Comfortable in developing Lightning Web / Aura Components along with SOSL, SOQL, and SAQL’s 
• Experience with Lightning and Visualforce
• Experience integrating Salesforce with other systems preferred 
• Experience in an Agile environment preferred
• Must be highly organized 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
