This is a remote position that will require quarterly travel to Philadelphia and event-based travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Active Recruiting / Sourcing 

  • Actively source highly competent veterinarians and veterinary technicians to join our team via direct and indirect outreach, by using the appropriate social media outlets, direct marketing (emails), trade shows, and private and public eventsThis includes, but is not limited to, the following: 
  • Contacting candidates that may be a potential match for our positions who are currently employed by utilizing technology available including but not limited to phone call, text, email, internet boards, and social media
  • Referral Program – Effectively leverage the Company’s in-house referral program and keep it fresh / top-of-mind for staff 
  • Resume Database Searches – Comb relevant resume databases to mine for qualified talent 
  • Networking – Attending relevant events either virtually or in person, joining relevant niche organizations and/or collaborating with candidates and other professionals in the industry 
  • Recruitment Marketing – Collaborate with the Email Marketing Manager and Senior Marketing Manager to identify groups of potential veterinarians to receive specific, targeted recruitment marketing messages on a consistent basis. 
  • Other Sourcing – Creatively find new methods of sourcing candidates to actively recruit to the Company 
  • Assist with the evaluation of offers to purchase lists with contact information 

Passive Recruiting / Sourcing 

  • Coordinating with the recruiting and marketing teams to create compelling job ads that engage qualified talent to apply for open positions 
  • Leveraging social media, determine the best placement for job ads to attract the most qualified talent 
  • As needed, attend marketing events such as trade shows, local and regional CE, and meet-ups where the direct result is qualified candidates enter the interview funnel 
  • This may require some inter-regional travel to new markets 
  • Assist with creating opportunities for external recruiting vendors to connect with new leads by obtaining contact information 
  • Maintain elevated level of professional curiosity by seeking out new tools, process, and approaches to continue to improve IndeVets approach to hiring. 

Recruiting Processes 

  • Oversee the recruiting process with each candidate in the interview process, reducing the “air in the system” and time to hire metric while creating an engaging candidate experience. 
  • Track and maintain all candidate data in the Company’s ATS system 
  • Maintain and develop a candidate lead database to track and cultivate potential candidates and new hires to maintain a full pipeline of candidates 
  • Create and present weekly reports to managers using the Company’s applicant tracking software 
  • Schedule subsequent interviews with relevant stakeholders in the interview process 

Interviewing Responsibilities 

  • Identify and telephone screen veterinary candidates and ensure they meet or exceed our standards. 
  • Conduct reference checks and license verification on candidates who are nearing an offer of employment 

Other Duties

  • As needed, travel to the Company’s headquarters for relevant meeting participation. 
  • Performs other duties within the department or other areas as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of recruiting experience and/or equivalent combination of education and related, relevant experience
  • Minimum of three or more years of experience recruiting in a high-volume setting, regularly achieving hiring targets 
  • Previous experience with actively sourcing / soliciting candidates, especially leveraging appropriate social media platforms 
  • Previous experience with basic human resource functions such as entering information into an HRIS platform and knowledge of basic employment laws related to recruiting and interviewing 
  • Previous experience with entering, maintaining, and reporting from an ATS system 
  • Intermediate-advanced experience with the Microsoft suite of products 
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of the time 
  • Ability to work outside of standard business hour 

Preferred Education/Experience 

  • Licensed Veterinarians are a plus!
  • Familiarity with the veterinary industry. 
  • Familiarity with ICIMS ATS system

Language Ability 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
