INDEVCO North America (INA) is seeking a seasoned Human Resources (HR) professional to lead and develop our HR team in North America. This position is located just north of Richmond in Doswell, VA.

The Vice President of Human Resources (VP HR) is a strategic thought leader responsible for overseeing the human resources function at INA. The VP HR plays a crucial role in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our overall business objectives and mission to enhance business and enrich lives through building envelope systems and packaging solutions that protect people, products, communities, and our environment.

This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in HR leadership and a solid understanding of talent acquisition, Learning and Development, Compensation and Benefits, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E).

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition:

  • Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract, hire, and retain top-tier talent.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure a streamlined recruitment process.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring the organization establishes an employment brand that represents INDEVCO’s team cohesiveness and loyalty.
  • Develop and implement onboarding and employee orientation programs.
  • Pioneer the analysis of workforce data, including turnover rates, skills inventory, and demographic trends, to keep recruitment and retention practices current and modern.
  • Stay informed on recruitment technology trends and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment process.
  • Drive initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion in the recruitment process.
  • Implement strategies to attract a diverse talent pool and reduce biases in the hiring process.

Learning and Development:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive learning and development programs that align with INDEVCO’s mission and goals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development among employees.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust programs as necessary.
  • Foster a development workplace culture and manage employee relations.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for monitoring and reporting on performance management effectiveness.
  • Implement a fair and transparent performance evaluation system.
  • Oversee the performance management process, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
  • Implement programs to encourage ongoing feedback and coaching between managers and employees.
  • Provide training to enhance manager’s coaching and feedback skills.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of Performance Improvement Plans to promote excellence.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Conduct regular benchmarking to ensure our compensation packages remain competitive in the market.
  • Provide guidance on reward and recognition initiatives.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of a job evaluation and classification system to ensure fair and equitable pay practices.
  • Work closely with HR and hiring managers to evaluate and determine appropriate salary ranges for new and existing positions.
  • Manage and oversee executive compensation programs, including equity-based incentives, deferred compensation, and other executive benefits.
  • Ensure executive compensation aligns with the organization's performance and governance guidelines.
  • Oversee the design, administration, and communication of employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and other fringe benefits.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in benefits, and make recommendations to enhance the organization's offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to employee benefits.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E):

  • Develop and implement HS&E policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment in a manufacturing setting.
  • Monitor compliance with relevant regulations and promote a culture of safety.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address and mitigate potential workplace hazards.
  • Develop and implement programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance, including waste management, emissions, and resource consumption.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies to maintain necessary permits and approvals
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans to address accidents, spills, or other emergencies.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to conduct drills and ensure readiness for emergency situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and manage complex HR initiatives.
