Job Summary Job Description Director of Agent Development manages the on-going development and training of the Agency’s insurance distribution personnel, including licensed insurance agents, trainees, and related staff with a focus on Medicare, Health, and Life insurance markets. Responsibilities · Effectively manage Agent onboarding and training programs · Develop and deliver training curriculum whether in person or virtual meetings · Clearly communicate trainee performance and compliance expectations · Motivate, encourage and empower trainees to maximize their talent potential · Provide Agents the necessary knowledge, resources and tools to achieve goals · Organized and prepared to deliver training curriculum · Perform evaluation and certification of each Sales Agent prior to their graduation to their assigned sales team · Randomly monitor calls on a regular basis to gauge quality, compliance, and other metrics, in support of defining enhancement training initiatives · Learn and effectively leverage product knowledge, telephony system and software systems · Stay current with industry and educational trends · Learn and comply with all federal & state legal requirements and standards. · Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners · Dependable, providing good attendance and schedule adherence · May assist with compliance-related tasks in support of other staff members · Partner with leadership to identify and solve for future training needs · Promote the company’s mission and actively practice the core values of honesty, integrity, accountability, excellence and courage · Other tasks as assigned Qualifications Minimum Job Requirements · A track record of successful sales and customer service training experience · Must have experience as an instructional trainer · Virtual trainer experience a plus · Must have experience in building successful training curriculum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities · Work well with others during conversations, projects, meetings and other collaborations (teamwork) · Medicare knowledge a plus · Health insurance including ACA a plus · Life Insurance knowledge a plus · Understand effective training methodologies and tools · Have a great stage presence and the ability to engage an audience with compassion, positive attitude, high energy, knowledge and a professional demeanor · Have strong listening and communication skills; both verbal and written · Be extremely self-motivated individual with strong work ethic · Have superior coaching skills · Have a strong desire to help people learn · Possess the ability to lead a group of people with a positive attitude and perseverance · Display excellent teaching and assessment skills Education & Experience · High school diploma or equivalent required · B.A. Degree preferred · A track record of successful sales and customer service training experience · 5 years experience in instructional design and training About Us Since 1971, AmeriLife has served the needs of its clients.
