Job Summary (Primary function)
The Associate Director, Pharmacokinetics provides leadership in DMPK support of discovery and/or development projects and may include issue identification, design and coordination of in vitro and in vivo ADME studies to drive programs forward and leading a DMPK subgroup.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

• Provide leadership in one or more DMPK related areas including pharmacokinetics/toxicokinetics, transporters and biotransformation.
• Design and implement of ADME experiments to identify ADME liabilities, drive project decisions and solve critical issues in a timely manner.
• Drive DMPK component of discovery and/or development projects in a matrix environment.
• Work in close partnership with disciplines such as medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmaceutical sciences, and clinical pharmacology to optimize leads, conduct preclinical studies, select clinical candidates, and contribute to IND filings.
• Ensure compliance with GLP regulations, follow company policies and SOPs, as applicable.Closely work with Quality Assurance to ensure data quality and compliance, as applicable.
• Troubleshoot and analyze data and write study summaries as well as reports for regulatory submissions.
• Communicate DMPK issues/results to discovery and/or development teams and management.
• Lead a DMPK subgroup as required.
• Present at external meetings and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Keep current with emerging technologies in DMPK area.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

• PhD or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience in DMPK.
• In-depth understanding of in vitro and in vivo ADME studies and track record of designing and implementing DMPK studies to impact discovery and/or development programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong organizational skills.
