Evening Shift: 3:00pm-11:15pm with rotating weekends

Description:

· The primary purpose of the Inpatient Pharmacy Technician position is to accurately and efficiently prepare Sterile Admixtures, dispense unit dose medications via carousels and Automated Dispensing Cabinets, and distribute/maintain medications and equipment for patient care units.

Responsibilities:

· Medication Processing and Distribution

· Accurately and efficiently fill unit dose carts and first doses

· Accurately and efficiently pull drugs to refill controlled access cabinets

· Accurately and efficiently deliver medications/supplies to designated areas

· Sterile Compounding/Preparation (Possible)

· Accurately and efficiently prepare routine small and large volume parenteral sterile products

· Inventory Management

· Restocking medications/supplies

· Complete cycle counts in carousel

· Ensure medication security and accountability

· Monitors area inventory and supplies, notifies appropriate personnel when shortages and/or outages noted.

· Other duties as assigned.

Require Qualifications:

· High school diploma/GED

· Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy

· 1 years’ experience in hospital pharmacy.
