JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, we are looking for a Production Lead who can lead and supervise a team of workers in an electromechanical assembly process. This “hands on” position provides point leadership for significant portions of production operations, and is responsible for organization, supervision, resource allocation, skill development, and performance evaluation of all employees assigned.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and processes; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; developing reporting procedures and methodologies; facilitating enhancements to address deficiencies in established processes; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
• Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the production activities.
• Maintains quality service by establishing, documenting and enforcing organizational standards.
• Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to related requests.
• Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices; implements change.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and appropriate practices; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of related “hands on” production lead/supervisory experience in an electromechanical manufacturing/assembly environment
• Be able to consistently lift and carry up to 75 lbs (approximate weight of system box)
• Must be able to speak and read English; Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a strong plus but not required
• Strong communication skills are a must, particularly the ability to prepare clear, concise written and oral communications
• Literacy with computer information/processing systems
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, ability to document processes and procedures
• Experience using Oracle E-Business Suite is preferred
• Root cause analysis and problem solving experience
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical prints/drawings
