Inclusively is Hiring a VP of Facilities Operations Near Newark, NJ

Inclusively is partnering with a a nonprofit organization that empowers people with disabilities and other barriers to employment to gain independence to hire a VP of Facilities Operations.

ABOUT INCLUSIVELY:

Inclusively is a digital tech platform that connects candidates with disabilities, who may benefit from workplace accommodations, to inclusive employers. Essential Functions:

  • Assure that all company facilities are safe and compliant with any and all applicable codes and regulations
  • Maintain current and accurate records of critical functions for all facilities
  • Advise senior leadership on interpretation and application of Facilities policies and practices
  • Develop collaborative relationships with division management so that Facilities dept input to daily problem solving is viewed as a high value added function
  • Maintains knowledge of current external developments so as to provide appropriate guidance to the organization
  • Research, design, and implement new and revised Facilities policies and practices that support agency goals and objectives
  • Directs Facilities Management staff in a manner that provides continual personal development and growth and stresses internal customer service values with employees and other dept managers
  • Design and implementation of facilities management systems
  • Manage work flow in department to gain maximum efficiency in all administrative processes and implement appropriate technology solutions
  • Design, and direct the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) related to Health & Safety, Maintenance & Repair functions of facilities
  • Responsible for effective communication of Facilities policies and practices.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

  • Comprehensive understanding of Facilities operations including electrical, mechanical and life safety systems
  • Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety issues related to facilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical understanding of applicable rules and regulations related to facilities operation and occupancy
  • Comprehensive understanding of real estate marketplace including ability to negotiate lease terms and conditions
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Ability to negotiate business agreements
  • Ability to design facilities to required needs and specifications and supervise all aspects of construction
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Facilities Management position of medium to large corporate facilities including diverse combination of facility types including: office, rehabilitation, classroom/training, retail, light manufacturing, warehousing/shipping & receiving
  • Ability to work independently, prioritizing workflow to meet critical deadlines
  • Thorough understanding of financial management functions
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and interests
  • Ability to network within the industry
  • Excellent communication and research skills, diplomatic, analytical, and of the highest integrity and possessing sound judgment and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to self motivate and work independently.
  • Hands-on experience in all facilities related functions.
  • Must demonstrate high integrity and commitment to company Mission and Values
  • Develop and maintain relationships that benefit this agency

Scope of Responsibility & Positions Supervised:

  • Must identify critical issues and maintain authority to make decisions and take instantaneous action regarding Health & Safety issues as they relate to protection of lives and property
  • Fiscal responsibility for creating and maintaining budgets for two cost centers: Harrison Facility, Astoria Facility

Special Working Conditions:

  • Must maintain schedule flexibility and ability to respond to facilities emergencies on a 24-7 basis
  • Must have ability to facility needed/required work with minimal impact on the particular facility’s operation
