Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our dynamic and innovative team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in working with mid-to-large size datasets and data analysis tools, along with a strong background in mathematics and statistics.
Responsibilities:
· Working with mid-to-large size datasets.
· Implement build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, and workload management.
· Manipulate, process, and extract value from large, disconnected datasets.
· Implement data warehousing solutions.
· Develop data validation methods and data analysis tools.
· Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
· Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, including data parsing, transformation, schema analysis, and query/analysis.
· Utilize SQL and relational databases for data analysis.
· Utilize and fluency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, R, etc.).
· Utilize big data tools.
Requirements:
· Strong mathematical/statistical background.
· Demonstrated experience with Linux, Unix, or Microsoft Windows operating systems.
· Demonstrated experience with SQL and relational databases.
· Demonstrated experience with Python and JavaScript for web/HTML development.
· Experience with computational notebook software such as Zeppelin or Jupyter.
· Experience with the application of visual analytics to computational analytic results.
· Bachelor's or Master's Degree in an IT discipline.
Highly Desired Skills:
· Demonstrated experience working on Amazon Web Services environments or other cloud service providers (CSP) environments.
· Demonstrated experience building, instrumenting, and monitoring analytic pipelines.
· Demonstrated experience using Python to deliver operational ML capabilities.
· Demonstrated experience with distributed data and data computing tools.
· Demonstrated experience with the Amazon Web Services infrastructure or other cloud service providers (CSP) infrastructure.
· Demonstrated experience with the data science capabilities native to Amazon Web Services or other cloud service providers (CSP).
· Demonstrated experience working with Linux command line (bash).
